Alex Ruby
Assistant Coach

Alex Ruby begins her first season as an assistant coach with the Oral Roberts volleyball program.

Prior to joining the staff, Ruby served as an assistant coach at Trinity Christian College during the 2022 season. Before her time at Trinity Christian, Ruby was a graduate assistant at Olivet Nazarene, where she helped the program to a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Regular Season Title and Tournament Title in 2020.

During that season, Ruby was named the CCAC Assistant Coach of the Year.

Before moving into the coaching profession, Ruby played four seasons at Olivet Nazarene and is the program's all-time career record holder for digs with 2,567. Throughout her four-year career, Ruby earned CCAC First Team All-Conference honors three times, was the CCAC Defender of the Year in 2018 and earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2018. Ruby also became the first player in ONU history to earn the NAIA Champions of Character Award.

Ruby earned her Bachelor of Science Education in 2019 and Masters of Organizational Leadership in 2021 from ONU. She is married to her husband, Jonathan Ruby, and together they have a border collie named Maverick.
